With the efforts of Iranian specialists, the Hook-Up operation at Phase 11 of the South Pars Gas Field has been successfully completed.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars Group, Dr. Hamidreza Saghafi, CEO of Petropars Group, announced that Petropars, as a strategic entity within the Ministry of Oil, relying on domestic expertise, successfully carried out acidizing operations on Well No. 14 at Location B of Phase 11. As a result, gas production from this location increased by 2.5 million cubic meters per day.

He further stated that following the successful acidizing operation, the well was connected to the platform manifold (Hook-Up) in less than 48 hours. This rapid execution was made possible through coordinated planning and continuous collaboration between Pars Oil and Gas Company and Petropars Group.

With the addition of this well to the production stream, total output from Phase 11 has more than doubled over the past 17 months.

Dr. Saghafi emphasized that this achievement reflects the cohesion and intensified efforts of Petropars personnel, who have continued operations despite challenging sanction conditions. These measures, undertaken to help address the country’s energy imbalance, have resulted in tangible progress and a substantial increase in production from this phase.

The development project of Phase 11, recognized as the last and border-most phase of the South Pars field in the waters of the Persian Gulf, was assigned to Petropars Group following the withdrawal and non-fulfillment of commitments by international companies.
