Petropars, the Driving Force of the Ministry of Petroleum’s Development: Boosting South Azadegan Production by Iranian Expertise
By commissioning a new well at the joint South Azadegan field, the Petropars Group has added 4,300 barrels to the field’s daily production capacity, further strengthening its sustainable development trend.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Petropars Group, with the commissioning of this well, the total number of producing wells in the South Azadegan field development project has reached 38, increasing daily production capacity to 66,200 barrels.
Announcing the news, Dr. Hamidreza Saghafi, CEO of the Petropars Group, said: “The recent increase in production at the South Azadegan field is the result of unity, synergy, and the tireless efforts of Iranian specialists. As the country’s largest exploration and production company and a capable arm of the Ministry of Petroleum, Petropars has relied on indigenous knowledge and the experience of its workforce to take effective steps toward boosting national production and continues to lead the way in achieving the Ministry’s objectives.”
Ebrahim Nari, Project Manager of the South Azadegan joint oil field development at Petropars, explained the technical details of the operation, stating: “Fahliyan Well No. 174, Pad 59, was successfully commissioned, and its produced oil is being transferred via a 2,430-meter-long, 6-inch pipeline to Manifold No. 8. This operation was carried out using domestic capabilities and Iranian-made equipment and plays a significant role in increasing production capacity and ensuring flow stability. Precise coordination among Petropars’ engineering, drilling, and production teams enabled the work to be completed with high quality and in the shortest possible time.”
In closing, Dr. Saghafi added: “Through the continuous actions undertaken by the Petropars Group in recent months, a significant increase in the country’s oil production capacity has been achieved. I sincerely appreciate the support of the esteemed employer and the Ministry of Petroleum, and I am confident that with the continuation of this cooperation, even greater successes will be realized in the oil industry.”
It is noteworthy that in the past month as well, the Petropars Group, through several production and optimization operations, added more than 7,000 barrels to the production capacity of the South Azadegan field and continues to pursue the development of this joint field with sustained momentum.
