Successful Commissioning of the Fourth Gas Sweetening Train of South Pars Phase 14 Refinery Amid Regional Security Threats

  2025 June 25
Despite heightened security tensions and recent hostile incidents in the Persian Gulf region, the fourth gas sweetening train of the Phase 14 South Pars Refinery was successfully commissioned through the efforts of Petropars Group, supported by national expertise, strong technical cohesion, and operational resolve.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars Group, the stable receipt of sour gas from offshore platforms and the initiation of the sweetening process in this processing train represent a major milestone—one that demonstrates the resilience and capability of Iran’s oil and gas professionals under highly sensitive regional conditions.

In an official statement, Dr. Hamid-Reza Saghafi, CEO of Petropars Group, expressed his profound appreciation for the guidance, continuous follow-up, and steadfast support of the Minister of Petroleum, acknowledging the indispensable role of these efforts in overcoming operational obstacles and achieving this strategic accomplishment.

He also extended sincere gratitude to all Petropars personnel—especially the experts and frontline staff of POMC (Petropars Operation & Management Company)—whose tireless commitment, professional discipline, and exceptional teamwork made the successful commissioning possible.

Dr. Saghafi emphasized that this achievement conveys a clear and powerful message:

“The Iranian oil and gas industry, anchored in committed human capital and a strong national spirit, continues to advance and remains unstoppable on the path of development.”
