Petropars Increases Oil Production from the South Azadegan Field by 8,000 Barrels per Day Through the Startup of Two New Wells
With the successful commissioning of two new production wells in the South Azadegan oil field, the field’s output has increased by 8,000 barrels per day (bpd), bringing the total production of Petropars in this field to approximately 59,000 bpd.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars Group, Dr. Hamid-Reza Saghafi, CEO of Petropars Group, announced that during the past week, Fahlyan Wells No. 207 and 200 were brought online with a combined production capacity of 8,000 bpd. The oil produced from these wells is transported via a dedicated flowline system constructed by Petropars to the southern manifolds of the field and subsequently to the West Karun processing facilities.
Dr. Saghafi emphasized that this achievement reflects the strong trust of the project owner and the relentless efforts and technical competence of Petropars’ dedicated workforce. He described it as a promising indicator of continued progress for both Petropars and the national oil industry.
Mr, Nari, Petropars’ Project Manager for the South Azadegan Joint Field, highlighted the strategic importance of this accomplishment and noted:
“With the startup of these two wells, Petropars’ production in the South Azadegan field has reached 58,900 barrels per day. Based on the operational plan, three additional wells with a total production capacity of 4,200 bpd are scheduled to be commissioned and added to the production network next week.”
He further expressed gratitude for the support of the esteemed project owner and the persistent efforts of all field operations, engineering, and support teams, stating that continued integration and coordination will pave the way for further progress in the sustainable development of the South Azadegan field.
