Second Processing Train of the Central Treatment and Export Plant (CTEP) to Be Commissioned Within the Next Three Months
Dr. Hamid-Reza Saghafi, CEO of Petropars Group, announced that the second oil processing train of the Central Treatment and Export Plant (CTEP)—the largest crude oil processing complex in Iran—will be commissioned and brought online within the next three months.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars Group, Dr. Saghafi made these remarks during a project control meeting attended by Engineer Zarei, CEO of the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), along with senior managers from both organizations. During the session, the latest progress of this major national project was reviewed in detail.
He emphasized that constructive cooperation, alignment, and synergy among the project’s primary stakeholders—including the project owner, Petropars, and the operational contractors—constitute the foundation of success in CTEP. Dr. Saghafi expressed appreciation for the project owner’s support in accelerating piping activities and resolving ongoing operational challenges.
Addressing procurement-related issues, Dr. Saghafi noted:
“To compensate for material shortages, decisive measures have been implemented, and several essential construction items are currently being expedited and transported to the site.”
He underscored Petropars’ commitment to completing this strategic national project, affirming:
“Petropars has mobilized all its resources to ensure the timely completion of CTEP. With the provision of project financing, the second processing train will be commissioned and fully operational within the next three months.”
It is noteworthy that Train C, the first processing train of CTEP, was commissioned several months ago and is currently producing crude oil that meets all required quality and operational standards.
