Petropars CEO: Technical Expertise, Foundation for Joint Development with Venezuela
Dr. Hamidreza Saghafi, CEO of Petropars Group, speaking on the sidelines of his meeting with the Venezuelan Ambassador and senior officials from Venezuela’s Ministry of Petroleum, announced the initiation of joint project assessments between the two nations.
According to Petropars' Public Relations and International Affairs Department, Dr. Saghafi emphasized that Petropars, as Iran’s largest oil and gas exploration and production company, is fully equipped to carry out end-to-end operations across the entire hydrocarbon value chain—from seismic studies to final production.
“Our expertise is not theoretical—it’s proven through years of successful collaboration with major global players such as Total, ENI, and Statoil,” Dr. Saghafi stated. “This experience provides a solid foundation for meaningful collaboration with Venezuela in developing its oil and gas fields.”
He further noted that several projects in Venezuela are currently under technical review by Petropars and confirmed that a team of technical experts would soon be dispatched to Venezuela for on-site assessments. Details of these evaluations will be shared publicly at the appropriate time.
Dr. Saghafi expressed appreciation for the presence of the Venezuelan delegation and the constructive discussions held, adding:
“We hope these meetings will lead to stronger and more strategic cooperation between Petropars and Venezuela’s Ministry of Petroleum.”
