Bilal Gas Field Jacket Successfully Transported to Installation Site
Dr. Hamidreza Saghafi, CEO of Petropars Group, announced the successful transportation of the 3,000-ton Bilal gas field jacket from Bushehr Port to its designated offshore installation site, hailing it as a major step toward national energy self-sufficiency.
According to Petropars’ Public Relations and International Affairs Office, the Bilal Gas Field is one of Iran’s key offshore development projects, aimed at strengthening domestic gas production capacities.
Dr. Saghafi emphasized that this achievement was realized through the expertise of Iranian specialists and local capabilities, reinforcing Iran's commitment to utilizing indigenous resources in major energy projects.
He noted that Petropars, as Iran’s largest Exploration and Production (E&P) company, remains dedicated to sustainable oil and gas development and plays a critical role in reducing the country's energy supply gap.
Highlighting the broader impact of the project, Dr. Saghafi stated that the successful installation of the Bilal platform would strengthen Iran’s position as a major regional and global gas producer.
He expressed appreciation to the hardworking teams involved in the Bilal project and acknowledged the valuable cooperation of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), the project's client.
The Bilal Gas Field, located 40 kilometers east of South Pars, is expected to produce 500 million cubic feet of gas per day once fully operational.
This project will significantly enhance Iran’s offshore production infrastructure and contribute to national economic growth and energy security.
