Much ahead of the time schedule, the onshore refinery of Phase 19 of South Pars Gas Field collected sour gas from SPD2 platform, a fortunate event which substantiates that Petropars Group is pioneer in the construction and development of the Islamic Iran.

According to a report released by the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Petropars Group, relying on the unsparing efforts and interminable attempts made by Petropars Group colleagues as well as the sincere cooperation and collaboration extended by other companies, the onshore refinery of Phase 19 successfully collected the sour gas produced from SPD2 platform on March 07, 2016 (Esfand 07, 1394) under the safest conditions for the first time ever in the history of South Pars Gas Field Development.

Based on the same report, the sour gas so produced will be transferred to the gas sweetening units within the days to come and upon completion of the required operations, the gas will be injected into the national gas grid. This means that in the first step so taken, some 500 million standard cubic feet of gas will be added to gas production in Iran.
