Belal Gas Field Development

  Belal Gas Field Development

Belal gas field is located in 40 km east of South Pars and in the border of Iran & Qatar. Exploration Management Team explored Belal gas field on 2003.
The contract for the development of the Belal gas field project was signed on September 14, 2019 with the participation of the Minister of Petroleum and the CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company and the Managing Director of Petropars

General Information

  •    Belal Gas field will be managed by POGC and Belal oil field is being managed by IOOC.
  •    Belal gas field is 1 km away from Belal oil field.
  •    Drilled Gas will be transported to SPD12C and then will be transferred to onshore plant via a pipeline.

Initial Gas In place(IGIP)

  • 2.7 TSCF in Kangan & Dalan sublayers (More gas volume is expectable)

Production Rate

  • Produce 500 MMSCFD with plateau rate period of about 4-5 years

Project Description

  • Production Topside: 2300 Ton dry weight approximately with 4 decks for 500MMSCFD
  • Jacket : 2100 Ton weight approximately (excluding piles)
  • Pipeline: 20’’ Dia and 23Km length
  • Well Drilling 1 Appraisal Well
  • Well Drilling 1 Learning Well
  • Well Drilling 6 Developing Well
  • Average Drilling Length: 4200 m        
  • Total Well Drilling: 34000 m
