Farzad Gas Fields Development (MC)
Fulfilling all the projects of Phases 1, 4 & 5, 6, 7 & 8 and 12 of South Pars Gas Field Development successfully, Petropars was opted as the most powerful domestic contractor in the oil and gas sector so that the development of complex Farzad Gas Field has been put in the company's agenda.
Farzad A Gas Field Development agreement was signed between Petropars as the contractor and Exploration Directorate of NIOC and Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) as the Client in December 2011.
The project consisted of the completion of exploration activities including acquisition; processing and interpretation of 3D seismic data and, providing Master Development Plan (MDP) for development of the field.
The Drilling of the appraisal well in this challenging field was completed by POSCO and related tests were done in order to prepare initial MDP for development of this field. At the end, Petropars prepared the final MDP for development of this challenging gas field for final decision taking by the Client.
