The Managing Director of Petropars Group in the signing ceremony of contracts to complete the development of the South Azadegan joint oil field and The construction of the South Azadegan oil field’s Central Treatment Export Plant (CTEP) between Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) and Petropars Group ,emphasized on their implementation using maximum local work force of Khuzestan province and domestic contractors.

According to the report of Public Relations and International Affairs of Petropars Group, Mr Hamidreza Masoudi in the ceremony which was held on July 20, in the presence of the Minister of Oil and the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company and a group of oil and gas industry managers, said: With the deep vision of the originator of Petropars company and with the trust of the Ministry of Oil, the company has succeeded in developing about half of the South Pars joint field and implementing $ 23 billion in plans and projects, so that Petropars with a huge treasure of expertise and experience, now as An E&P company is recognized as the first in the country.

Engineer Masoudi stated that Petropars entered South Azadegan joint oilfield in aban 1397 in the type of MC contract and with its performance and trust of Petroleum Engineering and Development Company, now as a general contractor, it will undertake the development of the remaining works of this field and The construction of the South Azadegan oil field’s Central Treatment Export Plant (CTEP). "According to the strategy adopted with the esteemed employer, we have 41 work packages on the surfasce, subsurface and general service," he said. Some of the contracts and contractors are active in the field and their contracts are assigned to Petropars through a tripartite agreement between Petropars, the employer and the subcontractor. The other part is the work residue without a contract, which Petropars will supervise and manage the executive operations with the tenders that it does under the supervision of the employer.

He explained about the mentioned work packages: in the surface section, we have 23 work packages, 12 of which are current contracts and must be transferred to Petropars, and for the other 11 packages, a new contract must be concluded in the form of a tender. The subsurface section also has 14 packages, 7 of which have current contracts, and the other seven packages will be tendered to new contractors. The general sector also includes four packages that will be awarded to subcontractors in the form of tenders and new contracts.

Explaining the job description of completing the development of South Azadegan joint oilfield and the engineering process, procurement and the construction of the South Azadegan oil field’s Central Treatment Export Plant (CTEP), Mr. Masoudi said: considering these working volumes of these two contracts significant, and provides a lot of employment in Khuzestan province. Petropars Group will definitely use the maximum domestic capacity, especially the local forces of Khuzestan province, for the development and operation of this national plan, with the cooperation and guidance of the esteemed employer.

In the end, the Managing Director of Petropars Group expressed her hope that with the appropriate financial injection of the employer into these projects, the company will be able to be successful in this field as well as its other projects in South Pars Gas Field.
