The Project for development of Phase 1 of South Pars Gas Field has been productive since September 2004 (Shahrivar 1383).
However, as Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) allocated one of the satellite platforms of this Project (i.e. SPD2) to other projects of South Pars, in 2006 (1385) POGC and Petropars Limited made and entered into a Technical Services Agreement (TSA) in order to revamp current gas production capacity of SPD1 by 1000 MMSCFD, to provide the required sour gas from SPD1, instead of SPD1 and SPD2, and to carry out some repair operations. To this end, Petropars decided to perform renovations and modifications required to be performed on SPD1 and SPP1 platforms in two phases, which were completed respectively in the Summer of 2011 and Fall of 2012. However, a small portion of the works remaining in connection with the new wells will be performed only after the new well are drilled by POGC.
Revamping of Phase 1 of South Pars Gas Field is indicative of the fact that Petropars is committed to Employer’s satisfaction.
